Scout Section change of Night and Times

Dear Scout Parents/Guardians,

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for support in the unavoidable change of scout troop night from Fridays to Thursdays. This decision was not taken lightly as scouts has been on a Friday since everyone who is involved with the group can remember. The overwhelming decision for the change is adult leadership. We are still desperate for new adults to join us in running of the scout troop and programme, so if any of you, or you know of anyone who could help us in any way, please do not hesitate to talk to any of the leaders.

This Friday night 29th November will be our last, so next week our troop nights will change to a Thursday night (5th December) from 7pm to 9pm, half an hour earlier.

On Saturday 7th December we are bag packing at Asda between 10.30am and 3/4pm, this is a very important fund raising event for the group. So could I ask everyone to make an extra effort to attend if it is only for an hour it is much appreciated.

For those who have secured a place on next years National Pedal car Olympics, could I ask you to pay the balance as soon as possible. Deposit was £20 and balance is £35 total £55. If you have not received your paperwork for this event please ask me for another copy.

Below are the new dates and times for the rest of the year and just into next year.

Thursday 5th December 7.00 – 9.00pm

Thursday 12th December 7.00 – 9.00pm

Thursday 19th December 7.00 – 9.00 pm

Thursday 26th December – Closed for Christmas break

Thursday 2nd January – Closed for Christmas break

Thursday 9th January 7.00 – 9.00pm

Friday 10th – Sunday 12th January – Pedal Car Olympics in Essex

Thursday 16th January 7.00 – 9.00pm

If you have any questions about any of the above do not hesitate to contact me or speak to any of the leaders.

If I do not see any of you before we break up, on behalf of the Scout leaders I would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas and New year.

Regards Raymond Bennett (woody)
